Role Information

The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated software developer in test to take full control of our testing processes. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact within our startup, where you'll be responsible for ensuring the quality and security of our smart contracts, web APIs, and front-end applications. You will work closely with our development team, testing everything from smart contracts to APIs and user interfaces.

Your role will be crucial in helping us maintain the highest standards of performance and reliability in our products.

We work from the office 3 days a week and at home 2 days a week.

Salary Range - £75,000 - £85,000.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive testing strategy for smart contracts, web APIs, and front-end applications.

• Write and execute test cases for smart contracts developed in Rust, Solidity, and Move.

• Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.

• Identify, document, and track software defects to ensure resolution.

• Collaborate with the development team to understand the architecture and design of the product.

• Automate testing processes where possible to improve efficiency.

• Contribute to the overall improvement of the development and release process.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in blockchain and software testing.

Essential Qualifications:

• 5+ years​ experience in automation testing development.

• Proven experience in testing smart contracts on Ethereum, Solana, or other blockchains.

• Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.

• Experience with testing web APIs and front-end applications.

• Familiarity with React and Python projects.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of the testing process.

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience with various blockchain platforms and languages.

• Familiarity with security best practices in smart contract development.

• Keen interest in decentralised finance protocols and technologies.

• Contributions to open-source blockchain projects.
