Our client, a leading technology company specializing in AI and next-generation computing solutions, is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to join their expanding team. The company focuses on developing innovative tools and platforms that merge software and hardware to drive the future of AI performance.

In this role, you will be part of a team responsible for creating and maintaining critical engineering tools, ensuring the smooth automation of build processes, and collaborating across teams to enhance CI/CD pipelines. This remote position is based out of Toronto, Canada.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain continuous integration and deployment pipelines using platforms like GitHub and GitLab.

  • Collaborate with infrastructure teams to optimize tooling and resource management.

  • Automate build and packaging processes for internal tools and applications.

  • Streamline release workflows for public and internal deliverables.

  • Work closely with developers to enhance testing and integration within the CI/CD pipeline.

  • Maintain and update Linux distributions used across various products.

  • Create and manage packaging for different Linux distributions (e.g., RPM, DEB) and programming languages (e.g., Python packages).

  • Contribute to upstream open-source projects when applicable.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience.

  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Rust, C, C++, and Python, along with their build systems.

  • Experience with CI/CD frameworks and automation tools.

  • Strong scripting skills and experience in test automation.

  • Familiarity with version control systems and CI/CD workflows in platforms like GitHub and GitLab.

  • Knowledge of Linux distributions and experience with packaging systems like RPM and DEB.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively across different teams and departments.

  • Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible is a plus.
