About the role:

We are looking for a Chief Marketing Officer who will develop a comprehensive and innovative marketing plan that will promote brand recognition and effectively shape our public profile.

You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing effective marketing strategies, and using data and analytics to make evidence-based decisions. You will work in close collaboration with the CEO to facilitate Nethermind’s growth.

This is a significant opportunity to build a creative marketing function within a scaling company that actively contributes to Ethereum and StarkNet core development to name a few.

Responsibilities:

As a key member of the Executive Management team, you will: Set the foundation of the marketing department and define the vision of Nethermind’s marketing processes, strategy, and operational functions. Define, and ensure the execution of the end-to-end global marketing strategy, with localisation at it’s core and customer-centric storytelling. Research and assess the market and the company’s position in the Web3 ecosystem, and determine how and where the company should be positioned in the future. Develop the strategy to drive the organisation to that future market position and execute the strategy. Maintain a deep understanding of business goals, translating them into digital objectives/strategies. Establish short and long term marketing goals and objectives. Oversee the development and placement of the creative elements that position the company in the marketplace. Work closely with the product and sales team to raise the brand awareness, recognition and loyalty and turn marketing insights into sales. Direct the company’s public relations efforts. Oversee the company’s use of analytics platforms to understand customer preferences, priorities and patterns. Direct marketing campaigns and customer outreach via existing and emerging social media sites, as well as through traditional channels. Create, launch and manage multi-channel campaigns and initiatives, to drive organic acquisition & engagement. Plan and expand the marketing department, establishing ways of working, structures and delivery schedules. Own full-funnel responsibility for the marketing initiatives, brand and growth across all channels and platforms. Team management and development: Direct the management, mentoring, and coaching of the marketing team, fostering professional growth and operational excellence. This includes overseeing team dynamics, continuous skill development, and ensuring a high level of performance across the team.

Must Haves: Previous experience as a CMO or Head of a Global Marketing Team. 4+ years of experience in a senior leadership role. Experience in building, recruiting, and scaling marketing departments. Experience leading cross-functional marketing teams, with an ability to communicate business priorities, set goals, promote accountability and ownership. Proven management skills and the ability to inspire a culture of innovation. High level of technical aptitude to maximize the tools and leverage the social media platforms that are essential to marketing efforts. A passion for blockchain & crypto. Excellent communication skills. High level of business acumen. Abundance of marketing flair and creativity. Ability to feel and understand the wider Web3 crypto culture. Ability to be forward-looking and project what the Web3 community are looking for.
