Core Engineer

Core engineers are responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of the core infrastructure and systems that power a company or organisation. They work on a variety of projects, from developing new features to improving existing systems. As such, they need to have a strong technical background and be able to effectively communicate their ideas to colleagues and clients.

Salary range

EUR 3166 to EUR 4166+ Per Month

Qualifications, training and skills required
  • There are a few key skills that all core engineers should possess. First, they need to have a deep understanding of the systems they work on. This includes knowing how the system works, what its components are, and how it interacts with other systems. Additionally, they need to be able to identify and solve problems quickly and efficiently. They should also have excellent communication skills, as they will often need to present their ideas to others. Finally, they should be able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Extra desired training
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience planning and designing telecommunications networks.
  • Experience with performance and capacity management for core network designs.
  • An established track record of continuously improving and driving efficiencies, while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills to coordinate with other Networks and IT departments in order to drive Core Design Team deliverables
  • Deploying key network systems/nodes (for example, MME & SAE-GW) through the entire delivery lifecycle from initial design to full operational handover.
  • Excellent knowledge of LTE-associated technology and functionality, including RCSe, VoLTE, SRVCC, and CSFB, as well as LTE architecture, interfaces, and procedures.
  • An understanding of 3GPP, IETF, and GSMA standards and architectures is required.
  • Understanding of operational and business support systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues end-to-end, with good practical skills.
  • Understanding project lifecycles.
  • Ability to manage time well and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbally and in writing, and the ability to work with different business areas of varying technical capabilities.
