Backend Developer

A back end developer is responsible for the server-side of web application development. They must have extensive knowledge of programming languages, such as PHP, Ruby on Rails, Python and Java. In addition, they must be able to develop and maintain complex databases. A back end developer should also have strong problem-solving skills and be able to work independently.

Salary range

EUR 3750 to EUR 6500+ Per Month

Qualifications, training and skills required
  • Working on the server-side of web applications and writing code in languages such as PHP, Ruby on Rails, Python and Java. Creating and manipulating databases and optimising applications for speed and scalability. Other job requirements include ensuring that the code is secure and free from bugs and collaborating with front end developers and other team members. Back end developers will need to keep up to date with new trends and technologies.
Extra desired training
  • Programming skills in Ruby, PHP, .Net, C#, or Java
  • Working knowledge of Ruby, Laravel, Django, or Express
  • Expertise with MySQL, SQL, and Oracle databases
  • Using a version control system such as Git, CVS, or SVN
  • Experience with SOAP and REST web services
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Having good analytical skills
  • Effective communication
  • Working well as part of a team
