UX Researcher

UX researchers work to understand the needs and wants of users. They use various research methods to collect data and then analyse it to help inform UX design decisions. The methods UX researchers use vary depending on the project they are working on, but some common methods include interviews, surveys, focus groups, observation, and usability testing.

The analysis a UX researcher uses can be done in many ways, but some common methods include creating personas, writing user journeys, and doing competitor analysis. UX researchers typically have a background in human-computer interaction, psychology, sociology, or anthropology.

Salary range

EUR 4400 to EUR 5200+ Per Month

Qualifications, training and skills required
  • UX researchers typically work closely with UX designers and other stakeholders to ensure that the needs of users are being met. They also often work with developers to ensure that the designs are feasible and meet the technical requirements.
Extra desired training
  • A combination of technical and creative skills
  • Demonstration of excellent teamworking skills
  • You need to have good verbal communication skills when you present the findings of your research and the reasons behind your design decisions
  • You may be responsible for writing copy for the website, so you need excellent written communication skills
  • Innovation and creativity are necessary to develop new ideas
  • Passion for technology and design
  • You should have some knowledge of coding, even if you don't do it yourself, such as HTML, Javascript, and CSS
  • Proven experience with prototyping software tools such as FlowMapp, Axure Pro, and Visual Site Maps
  • Skills using Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop
