Role Information
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Database Design and Implementation: Design, implement, and maintain databases to meet the organization's requirements efficiently.
Infrastructure Oversight: Oversee the performance, availability, and scalability of the data infrastructure to ensure optimal functionality and reliability.
Database Management: Utilize strong knowledge of database design principles, backup and recovery strategies, security best practices, and performance tuning techniques to manage and secure databases effectively.
Performance Optimization: Implement performance tuning techniques to optimize database performance and ensure efficient operations.
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve database-related issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operations.
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their database requirements and provide support and guidance as needed.
Define : ETL / ELT jobs using distributed architecture for low latency and highly scalable systems.
Optimize: Tune data processing and ETL workflows to ensure high performance and reliability.
Develop : Data pipelines to collect and process large amounts of data from various operational and third party systems.
Build : End to end data orchestration of the data platform
Automate : Data collection and processing tasks
Evangelize : Release to business users, gather feedback and track usage to improve future iterations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
5-8 years hands on experience in cloud technology and data engineering.
Working experience in GIT, GitLab
Strong knowledge of database design principles, backup and recovery strategies, security best practices, and performance tuning techniques.
Proficiency in database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
Solid experience with cloud-based database services (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database) is preferred.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
